Black wool knit Sonia Rykiel sleeveless jacket with blazer style notched lapels and double breasted styling, circa 1980s vintage. Measures to a modern US M L. Fine gauge, mid to heavier weight. V neckline, eight button front (four buttons on each side), three button closure. All eight buttons are original and matching, gold tone metal domed with raised interlocking "SR". Welted seam panel construction along the back, welted dart seaming at the front and along the back shoulders. Streamlined fit through the waist, flared through the hips to the hem. Patch pockets at upper hips. Strangely, the pockets loop under the hem; see last photo. I do not think this has been shortened, as the hem is properly bound and hemmed, but it is a possibility simply worth noting. 85% wool, 15% angora, quite thick with a bit of give as needed. Condition is otherwise excellent, with no issues to report. A Rykiel collection piece with a streamlined fit and classically inspired style very rare indeed.
