The bodice of the dress is constructed from multiple panels that have boning set between each so that it is shaped right down through the hip area. This is corset area is covered in a black lace backed with in a nude fabric. This gives the illusion of being more bare then you really are all through the center portion of the dress. Above and below that center portion, the dress is made of a fine black silk netting. The netting is hand gathered in softly draped pleating across the bodice and shaped to highlight the bust area.
